What do we really know about the Italian Healthcare System?
A visual communication project by Ettore Della Marina.
Saintà in Pillole by Ettore Della Marina, developped at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano - unibz, with the supervision of academic staff (Andreas Trenker, Gianluca Camillini, Giacomo Festi) is a visual communication project adressing the unknown and hidden fragilities of the Italian public healthcare system.
The project uses a medical and pharmaceutical visual approach, turning information into quick content that can be easly understood.
Sanità in pillole is developped both digitally and physically. It features an Instagram page where waiting lists, patients rights, privatization and other medical aspects are shared and easly explained to the public through knowledge "pills".
The project also operates on physically, taking form via a candy package designed like a medicine box. Candies can be found in medical offices waiting rooms, inviting people to inform themselves. By scanning a QR code found on the back of the packaging, those two media connect, allowing the reader to find out more about their rights.
